Happy Thursday everyone! It is time to share part two of Emery’s and I Disney vacation. I told you in the last post that I didn’t want to share too many pictures of the animals in Animal Kingdom because I wanted to save them for a special post. Today is the day for that post. While at Disney Emery and I took the Wild Africa Trek Tour. It was by far one of the best things we did while we were there. We got an exclusive tour of the Kilimanjaro Safari with a group of ten other people.
Here we are at the start of our tour. Everyone is suited up and ready to go. This was a three hour tour. (Does anyone else sing that when they read it?…A three hour tour…haha) The three hours went bye so fast.
The animals were so close to us it was amazing. You will notice that in the first picture we were all strapped into harnesses. This was for when we walked across the rope bridges and got close to the hippos and crocodiles. They weren’t taking any chances of us falling in and being somebody’s lunch! The rope bridges were a lot of fun. They look a lot more dangerous than they actually were.
From there we moved onto the truck ride and went out onto the savannah with the animals. It was amazing to see these animals roam around. We stopped and watched them for minutes on end. I got some great pictures of the giraffes as well as a few other animals.
Once we roamed the safari for a while we settled in for lunch under a pavilion in the middle of the savannah. There we had a special meal made for us and watched the animals as we ate.
After lunch we hopped back on the truck to see more of the animals. The three hours flew by and we all wish it could have lasted the entire day. I highly suggest taking this tour it was AWESOME!! I hope you guys enjoyed our trek! Until tomorrow!
